A Rainy Day

This was a major roadway to the cloud forest. The roads and forms of transportation in Costa Rica were very reflective of a 3rd world country. There were few roads, major roads were unmarked and they were always full of pot-holes, winding, and typically one-lane.

Getting ready for a wet zip line adventure.

Not too much to blog about today, we were still in La Fortuna and are staying the night here again. This morning was early, we had to be at the bus ready to go by 7:30 am to go zip lining around Arenal Volcano. However, because of the rain and clouds we still haven't had a chance to see this volcano. Zip lining was a lot of fun except we all got extremely wet, thankfully they had ponchos we could borrow and wear. After zip lining we were supposed to go ride horses and hike up to a waterfall, but this didn't end up happening. We came back and ate lunch at the hotel, afterwards it was raining so much that we all decided not to go. Everyone was worn out from this morning, tired of being wet, and didn't want to get our new dry clothes soaked again. Instead, many of us decided that this was the perfect time to catch up on sleep and take long naps. Meghan and Stacy decided to take advantage of the spa at the resort and get a massage instead. After naps everyone went to dinner at the hotel again. Tomorrow we are hoping the rain clears off a little so we can see Arenal Volcano before we have to head out to Monteverde.

P.S. Hi mom :)
